- I have not been able to fix up the code so that it will consider calls such
- as zz1zzz and zz1zzz/6 as equal. This is required because you may
- work someone who gives their portable indication when you work them and then
- hours later you work them again and they don't give the portable indication.
- This particular example may seem simple, but the general problem is not so
- easy, especially when you throw in the problem of trying to recognize
- partial calls which the current program DOES NOT DO.
-
- However, there is a work-around. In the wpx program I have added a function
- to the reports so that it will produce a complete dupe sheet per band.
- The dupe sheet will NOT include the KNOWN dupes. All the calls per band are
- sorted into order and so if you do have contacts with ZZ1ZZZ and ZZ1ZZZ/6
- on the same band, then you can either manually correct your score, or you
- can edit the log file and delete the contact with ZZ1ZZZ so that the
- ZZ1ZZZ/6 will be scored properly.
-
- I hope to have this whole issue fixed up soon but it's too late to have it
- done for the CQ WW WPX SSB.
- Maybe it'll be fixed for the CW WPX.
-
- Good luck in the contest.
