  1. I have not been able to fix up the code so that it will consider calls such
  2. as zz1zzz and zz1zzz/6 as equal. This is required because you may
  3. work someone who gives their portable indication when you work them and then
  4. hours later you work them again and they don't give the portable indication.
  5. This particular example may seem simple, but the general problem is not so
  6. easy, especially when you throw in the problem of trying to recognize
  7. partial calls which the current program DOES NOT DO.

  9. However, there is a work-around. In the wpx program I have added a function
  10. to the reports so that it will produce a complete dupe sheet per band.
  11. The dupe sheet will NOT include the KNOWN dupes. All the calls per band are
  12. sorted into order and so if you do have contacts with ZZ1ZZZ and ZZ1ZZZ/6
  13. on the same band, then you can either manually correct your score, or you
  14. can edit the log file and delete the contact with ZZ1ZZZ so that the
  15. ZZ1ZZZ/6 will be scored properly.

  17. I hope to have this whole issue fixed up soon but it's too late to have it
  18. done for the CQ WW WPX SSB.
  19. Maybe it'll be fixed for the CW WPX.
